I just finished the game and agree with you about the game possessing a "fine balance of fantasy and reality," both figuratively (the equally well-crafted worlds of Arcadia and Stark) and literally (the game's fantastical story coupled with the great characters and April's relateable growth as a person). There are indeed very few games whose scripts can hold a torch to the TLJ's; and even fewer have female characters that are as "real" as April Ryan. Great writeup.
